--- Installation ---
DM-Gravadyne7.zip: the zipfile you downloaded
readmyass.txt: the one yer reading
DM-Gravadyne7.unr: goes in your UnrealTournament/Maps folder
Sevendanger_texs.utx: goes in your UnrealTournament/Textures folder
Gravadyne7.umx: goes in your UnrealTournament/Music folder
navboyScripts.u: goes in your UnrealTournament/System folder

(Just doubleclick the downloaded zipfile and drag each one of these into its
appropriate folder; the zipfile remains intact, everything's copasetic.)

Video Settings: Many setups default to not using volumetric
lighting; you need this enabled to see some
of the eye candy in this [and many] map[s].
If you must use software rendering for some
reason, you will not experience many aspects
of UT maps (like looking through multiple
sheets), and it's generally a bit darker.
Open your UnrealTournament.ini file with Notepad, go to the appropriate
driver section and set VolumetricLighting=True if it isn't already (for
example i'm using Direct3d so i go to the "[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]"
section). Search for "volumetric" and it'll jump you through the various
driver sections, stopping on VolumetricLighting in each one.

--- Known Bugs ---
- No explicit Translocator support for bots, so they're not exceptionally
effective with them, though they still manage to get the goodies okay.

--- Additional Notes --
Heavy use of ambient sounds in this map, turn 'em up!
Custom music, all original samples.
Moderate use of sheets; see Installation note above about video settings.

--- My Goal ---
My goal with this map (besides skipping from Doom][ to UT maps) was to create a
level that would be intriguing and fun for mediocre players (like myself), yet
simultaneously allow elite players to fully capitalize on their jumping/
falling/shooting abilities.

A secondary goal was to make the bots reasonably challenging and able to
exploit the map's quirks, since i read several reviews complaining about
crappy bot pathing in custom maps.

Finally, i wanted to largely base it on existing UT textures used in different
ways, yet also try my hand at creating some custom texs, sounds, music, scripts, etc.

--- Story Line ---
Liandri Corp. used a subsidiary to conduct experiments in manipulating gravity.
To this end, a series of research vessels were built to orbit the sun, thus
exploiting the ability to perform experiments in a significant graviational
environment. Of course, once the basics of reversing and warping were mastered,
the most intriguing challenges then involved interaction with organic life.

Since testing of any sort on human subjects was made illegal under global law
back in the late 21st century, one ship, the Gravadyne7, was kept on the far
side of the sun and secretly used for exposing humans to various gravitational
and quantum-organic manipulations, with varying degrees of success. Subjects
were generally criminals and others who listened to non-sanctioned music or
couldn't manage to pay their credit-chip bills on time.

Once exposure of this clandestine operation became imminent, the program was
abandoned, but the Gravadyne7 remained, its research equipment in varying
degrees of functionality, and Liandri found it delightfully viable as yet
another Tournament arena to add to its ever-burgeoning empire.

Special Note for those who actually read all of this:
In fly mode b4 the game starts, zoom down and out the rose glass trapdoor
in the fore viewdeck and fly underneath the ship. At the aft end are
two panels -- identify the portside panel (on your right) ringed with lights
and if you find yourself dumped through the trapdoor during the game, attempt to hit
this panel on your way down into the sun -- it's an additional external trigger
to the main floor Gravitational Degaussing trap inside ... May as well take
a few with you when you go, eh?
